2024 (Sophomore)
Cameron Lenhardt has played in every game this season with one start. He has totaled 13 tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss and a half sack.
Lenhardt had a half tackle for loss in the opener against UTEP. He finished with three tackles, including 1.5 TFLs and a half sack against Colorado. Lenhardt started against Northern Iowa and recorded three tackles. He recorded one tackle against Illinois. Lenhardt made two tackles at Purdue. He had a quarterback hurry against Rutgers. He recorded one solo tackle at Ohio State. Lenhardt had one solo tackle at USC.
2023 (Freshman)
Lenhardt played in 10 games with four starts as a true freshman, missing two games due to injury. Lenhardt recorded 16 tackles with 5.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
Lenhardt started the season opener at Minnesota as a true freshman, becoming only the second true freshman defensive lineman to start a game for Nebraska in the modern era and the first to start a season opener. Lenhardt finished with three tackles against the Gophers. He had three more tackles at Colorado with his first two career sacks. Lenhardt became the first Husker true freshman to have multiple sacks in a game since Barry Turner in 2005.
He was injured early against Northern Illinois and the injury kept him out of the following two games. He returned to action at Illinois, and then tied his career high with three tackles against Northwestern with a four-yard tackle for loss. He had a career-high four tackles at Michigan State with 1.5 TFLs and an eight-yard sack. Lenhardt made his fourth start of the season against Maryland, and had two tackles with a half tackle for loss at Wisconsin.
Before Nebraska (IMG [Fla.] Academy)
Cameron Lenhardt was one of the most coveted defensive line recruits in the nation as a high school All-American at IMG Academy in Florida. Lenhardt played his first two seasons for Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey.
Lenhardt helped IMG Academy to a stellar defensive season as a senior, when he recorded 21 tackles with 7.0 tackles for loss. IMG recorded 30 takeaways in his final season and gave up only 32.8 rushing yards per game and 96.4 passing yards per game. IMG allowed only 2.1 yards per rush and 3.7 yards per pass. Lenhardt played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey. He played on the varsity both seasons and recorded five sacks.
Cameron was born on April 27, 2004, and he is the son of Lakema Freeland. Lenhardt is majoring in construction engineering.
