Connor Schutt has played in one game this season. He made his Husker debut against UTEP.

Before Nebraska (Bishop Neumann HS)
Schutt joined the Husker program from Wahoo’s Bishop Neumann High School. He was a two-way standout for the Cavaliers.

As a senior, Schutt helped Coach Jordan Roberts’ team to an 8-2 record and a state playoff appearance. Schutt had 345 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns while throwing for 687 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, he had 15 tackles and a fumble recovery. Schutt was an honorable-mention Class C-2 all-state selection and an honorable-mention All-Omaha area pick.

Schutt threw for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, while also rushing for 683 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 15.2 yards per carry and helped the Cavaliers to an 8-2 record. As a sophomore, Schutt threw for 1,403 yards and seven touchdowns and added 274 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. 

In track and field, Schutt finished his senior season by placing second in the triple jump (44-5 3/4) at the Class C state meet. He also finished sixth in long jump and ninth in high jump, while being part of a 4x100 relay team that finished fourth. Schutt was the state runner-up in both the high jump (6-4) and triple jump (44-11) as a junior, as well as finishing ninth in the long jump. Schutt placed at state in the high jump and triple jump as a sophomore.
