Connealy redshirted in his first season at Nebraska. He began the season as an offensive lineman before making the switch to the defensive line.
Before Nebraska (Elkhorn Mount Michael Benedictine HS)
A second generation Cornhusker, Connealy came to Nebraska from Elkhorn Mount Michael Benedictine. Connealy was a two-way player, lining up at both offensive tackle and defensive end. He also competed in basketball and track and field for the Knights.
Conor's father, Terry, was a four-year letterwinner at defensive tackle for Nebraska from 1990 to 1994. A two-time first-team Academic All-American, Terry Connealy was a first-team All-Big Eight selection as a junior before earning second-team all-conference accolades as a senior, when Nebraska went 13-0 and claimed the 1994 national championship.

Conor was born on June 1, 2004, and he is the son of Terry and Lisa Connealy. He is majoring in mechanical engineering.
