Gibson Pyle has played in one game as a true freshman. He saw action on the offensive line in Nebraska's season-opening win over UTEP.
Before Nebraska (Klein Cain HS)
Pyle was a high school All-American for Klein Cain High School and Coach James Clancy. One of the top offensive line recruits in the country, Pyle was selected for the 2024 All-American Bowl.
Pyle was a three-year starter for Klein Cain. He helped the Hurricanes to an 8-4 record as a senior, when Klein Cain averaged 265 rushing yards and 197 passing yards per game, according to MaxPreps. In Pyle’s junior season, Klein Cain averaged more than 315 rushing yards per game while posting a 10-2 record and qualifying for the state playoffs. The Hurricanes also qualified for the playoffs in Pyle’s sophomore season, when Klein Cain averaged more than 535 yards of offense per game.
Pyle was regarded as a three-star prospect. He was ranked among the nation’s top 40 inside offensive linemen by 247 sports.
