Jordan Ochoa has yet to play in a game this season.

Before Nebraska (Castle View HS)
A standout defender from Colorado, Ochoa joined the Huskers from Castle View High School. He helped Coach Eric Handke's team to an 8-4 record and Class 5A state playoff berth in 2023. 

As a senior, Ochoa had 61 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks totaling 61 yards in losses. He also had 30 quarterback hurries, caused two fumbles and recovered one fumble. He was a first-team Class 5A all-state selection by the CHSAA. As a junior, Ochoa made 64 tackles, while adding two sacks and an impressive 37 hurries.  

Ochoa was ranked as the No. 13 player in Colorado by On3 and was among the top 150 edge players in the country. He had offers from Wyoming and Washington State among others. 

Ochoa grew up in Gering, Neb., and his father, Rico, played offensive line at Nebraska-Kearney.
