Kwazi Gilmer has started every game this season, leading Nebraska with three touchdown receptions and ranking second with 11 catches and third with 97 receiving yards. Entering the North Dakota game, Gilmer ranks ninth nationally in receiving touchdowns (3) and 25th in total touchdowns (3).
Gilmer had five catches for 58 yards and one touchdown in his Husker debut against Ohio. He caught six passes for 39 yards with a career-high two touchdowns against Bowling Green.
Before Nebraska (Sierra Canyon School/UCLA)
Gilmer spent two seasons at UCLA before transferring to Nebraska. He played in 24 games with 19 starts, catching 81 passes for 880 yards and six touchdowns. Gilmer caught at least one pass in each of his final 22 games as a Bruin.
Gilmer started all 12 games as a sophomore in 2025. He had 50 catches for 535 yards and four touchdowns, leading UCLA in each of those categories. Gilmer led the Bruins in receptions in six games and receiving yards in four games. He caught at least one pass in all 12 games, including 11 games with multiple receptions and a career-high 10 receptions at USC.
As a true freshman in 2024, Gilmer played in 12 games with seven starts. He caught 31 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns. Gilmer caught at least one pass in each of the season’s final 10 games. His best game of the season came at Nebraska when he had three catches for 88 yards and one touchdown, including a season-long 48-yard catch.
Prior to UCLA, Gilmer was a four-star recruit for Sierra Canyon School who was ranked among the nation’s top 30 wide receivers by Rivals. He caught 87 passes for 1,630 yards and 18 touchdowns in his high school career. Gilmer was a first-team all-league pick as a senior, when Sierra Canyon went 11-1 and reached the CIF-SS Division I semifinals. Gilmer played his junior season at Chaminade College Preparatory, where he was a second-team all-league pick.

The son of Rosa Gilmer, Kwazi is a child, youth and family studies major.
