Malcolm Simpson was one of the top players in Texas and one of the nation’s top defensive linemen after playing two seasons at Galveston Ball High School and one season at Hitchcock High School.

In his lone season at Hitchcock High School as a senior, Simpson helped the Bulldogs to the third round of the 2024 UIL Texas Football State Championships and a 10-2 overall record. Simpson was a first-team all-state selection as a senior. In two seasons at Galveston Ball High School, Simpson totaled 58 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. 

Simpson was rated as a four-star recruit. On3 listed him as the nation’s No. 9 defensive lineman and No. 98 overall recruit.
