2024 (Junior)
Michael Booker III has played in one game this season, making his season debut against UCLA.

Booker did not play in a game in 2022. He impressed in practice and was named Nebraska's co-Defensive Scout of the Year.

Before Nebraska (South Grand Prairie HS)
Booker is a second-generation Husker. The Grand Prairie, Texas, product is the son of Michael Booker Jr., who played defensive back at Nebraska and was a first-round pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. The younger Booker helped South Grand Prairie High School to a 6-3 record in 2020, as the team reached the Class 6A Division 1 playoffs.  Booker’s play also helped Head Coach Brent Whitson’s team to the state playoffs during the 2019 season.

Personal
Michael was born on Jan. 4, 2003, and he is the son of Michael Booker Jr. and Michelle Booker. He is majoring in marketing. Booker is one of Nebraska’s most active players in community outreach. He traveled with a group of student-athletes to the NoFilter Service Abroad Trip to Panama in 2023 and has volunteered with Lil Red Letters Pen Pal program, N-Volved Leadership Group and the Inner Circle.  He was a 2023 Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award winner.

His father, Michael Booker Jr., was a member of Husker national championship teams in 1994 and 1995 and was the Defensive MVP of the 1996 Fiesta Bowl against Florida. Booker was the 11th overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons and played five seasons with the Falcons and Tennessee Titans.
