Preston Okafor has yet to play in a game this season.
Before Nebraska (Omaha Westside HS)
Okafor joined the Nebraska program from Omaha Westside High School, where he played for Coach Paul Limongi. Okafor helped Westside to back-to-back state championships in his final two seasons.
As a senior, Okafor helped the Warriors to a perfect 13-0 record by making 18 tackles while recovering four fumbles and breaking up three passes. Okafor was an honorable-mention all-state selection by both the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star, and he earned honorable-mention All-Metro recognition. As a junior, Okafor contributed on a defense that helped the Warriors to a 12-1 record and the Class A state title.
In track, Okafor finished second in the Class A 100-meter dash as a senior and competed for Westside’s 4x100 team. He was also a state qualifier in the 100 meters as a junior.
