Before Nebraska (Clarkston HS/Notre Dame)
Rocco Spindler spent four seasons at Notre Dame before transferring to Nebraska. He played in 40 games with 23 starts at right guard for the Irish.

Spindler played in two games while redshirting in 2021. As a sophomore in 2022, he played in 12 games. Spindler moved into a starting role in 2023, when he started 10 games and was a key part of an offensive line that helped Notre Dame rank second in school history in scoring and yards per play. Spindler started the final 13 games of the 2024 season which saw Notre Dame play for the College Football Playoff championship.

Prior to Notre Dame, Spindler was a four-star recruit out of Clarkston High School in Michigan. Spindler was ranked among the top 100 recruits in the country, and ESPN tabbed him as the nation’s No. 1 offensive guard. An Under Armour All-American, Clarkston was a member of a state championship and state runner-up team in high school.

Rocco’s father, Marc, was a defensive tackle at Pittsburgh who earned first-team All-America honors in 1989. Marc Spindler went on to play in 107 games over a nine-year NFL career with the Detroit Lions and New York Jets.
