2024 (Redshirt Freshman)
Sam Sledge has played in three games this season. He made his Husker debut against UTEP.

2023 (Redshirt)
Sledge worked his way into the No. 2 spot at left guard as a true freshman, but he did not play in a game and redshirted.

Before Nebraska (Creighton Prep HS)
Sledge starred on the offensive line for Creighton Prep in Omaha. He earned high praise from his head coach Tim Johnk, who said Sledge was “the best interior lineman I have coached in my 30 years of coaching."

Sledge helped Creighton Prep to three state playoff appearances, including a semifinal berth as a senior in 2022. He was tabbed as a first-team All-Nebraska selection by the Omaha World-Herald as both a junior and a senior. Sledge was also twice named to the Lincoln Journal Star Super-State first team. Sledge was first recognized as one of the top players in the state as a sophomore, when he was an honorable-mention all-state pick.

Sledge was regarded as a three-star recruit. Rivals ranked him among the best 35 interior offensive line prospects in the country. He chose Nebraska over Kansas and Miami (Ohio), among others.

Sam’s father, Bob, is a member of the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame. Bob was a three-year letterwinner from 1986 to 1988 and earned All-Big Eight honors as a left tackle in 1988.
