2024 (Senior)
Tommi Hill has battled a foot injury this season to play in six games with five starts, missing three games due to the injury. He has recorded 19 tackles, one pass breakup and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

Hill had one tackle against UTEP in the season opener. Against Colorado, Hill tied for the team lead with six tackles and intercepted a pass which he returned seven yards for a touchdown. The return marked Nebraska's first interception return for a touchdown since the 20129 season. He finished with five tackles against Northern Iowa. Hill made two tackles against Illinois but suffered an injury in the first half and did not return to the game. Hill missed Nebraska's next two games against Purdue and Rutgers. He returned to start at Indiana, finishing with two tackles. Hill did not travel to Ohio State due to his injury. He returend to the field against UCLA and recorded three tackles and one pass breakup.

2023 (Junior)
Hill played in all 12 games in 2023, with one start on offense and seven on defense. He split time between both sides of the ball early in the season, before moving full-time to cornerback. Hill set career highs with 26 tackles, nine pass breakups and four interceptions, and he had a half tackle for loss and one fumble recovery. 

Hill tied for the Big Ten lead with 13 passes defended during the regular season and ranked fourth with his four interceptions. During conference play, Hill led the Big Ten with 12 passes defended and ranked second with four interceptions. He was recognized for his play with an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection from both the coaches and media. Hill also led Nebraska with six kickoff returns for 144 yards.

Hill was a big part of a Blackshirt defense that posted Nebraska’s best rushing defense, total defense and scoring defense since the Huskers joined the Big Ten in 2011. NU ranked in the top 20 nationally in each of those three categories. 

Hill made three tackles and was targeted once as a wide receiver at Minnesota. Hill continued to play both ways over the next five games. At Colorado, Hill had one tackle on defense and again saw action at wide receiver. Hill made one tackle and broke up a pass against Northern Illinois, and he had one carry and one target on offense. He also saw action on offense and defense against No. 2 Michigan, recording two tackles and returning two kickoffs for 42 yards. 

Hill started at cornerback at Illinois and had two tackles, a pass breakup and a 10-yard fumble return that set up a Husker field goal. He also had a 22-yard kickoff return against the Illini. Hill had one tackle, a pass breakup and his first career interception in a start against Northwestern, while adding a career-long 36-yard kickoff return. 

Hill had a career-high two interceptions against Purdue. He started at cornerback at Michigan State and had three solo tackles with a pass breakup. Hill again started at corner against Maryland and totaled six tackles while tying his career high with two pass breakups. He also had a half TFL against the Terps for his first career tackle for loss. Hill totaled four tackles in a start at Wisconsin.

Hill recorded three tackles in a start at Iowa and had a career-high three pass breakups and one interception. His play helped Nebraska limit Iowa to 94 passing yards.

2022 (Sophomore)
Hill began the 2022 season as a cornerback, lining up on defense for the first five games of the season, including starting the first four contests. Prior to the Rutgers game, Hill switched positions to wide receiver.

As a defender, Hill posted 17 tackles and four pass breakups. He had a career-high five tackles and a pass breakup in his Husker debut against Northwestern. He recorded three tackles and had another breakup the next week against North Dakota. Hill set career highs with eight tackles and two pass breakups against Georgia Southern. He had one tackle against No. 6 Oklahoma.

After switching to wide receiver, Hill also took over as Nebraska’s top kick returner, leading NU with 12 kickoff returns and 221 kickoff return yards. He returned his first kickoff of the season for 22 yards at Rutgers. Hill saw his first offensive snaps at wide receiver against Purdue. Although he did not have a catch against the Boilermakers, he set career highs with four kickoff returns, 91 kickoff return yards and a long return of 32 yards. Hill had an 18-yard kickoff return against Illinois. Although he did not have a reception, Hill earned his first start at wide receiver against Minnesota. At No. 3 Michigan, Hill returned three kickoffs for 51 yards. He had three kickoff returns for 39 yards against Wisconsin.

Before Nebraska (Edgewater HS/Arizona State)
Hill  joined Nebraska after spending his freshman season at Arizona State in 2021. Hill played in 11 games as a true freshman for ASU, finishing with nine tackles, including a career-high three stops against Stanford. He also returned four kickoffs for 79 yards.

Hill chose to attend Arizona State after being one of the top high school prospects in the country for Edgewater High School in Orlando. Ranked as one of the top 200 overall recruits in the nation and the No. 12 cornerback by ESPN, Hill won a state championship as a senior with Edgewater when he had four interceptions and eight pass breakups on the season.

Personal
Tommi was born on March 21, 2002, and he is the son of Tommi Hill and Loretosha Wallace. He is majoring in child, youth and family studies. He has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race and the Huskers’ Day of Service.
