2023-24 (Redshirt Freshman)
Henry Burt saw action in seven games as a redshirt freshman and served on the Husker scout team. He tallied two points and three rebounds in 10 minutes. He scored his first career basket against Florida A&M and grabbed rebounds against Florida A&M, Stony Brook and Michigan. He saw action in three Big Ten games but did not score. Burt played in the Huskers' final two games in Spain in the summer of 2023, including three steals in 17 minutes of work in the finale as he was limited with an ankle injury suffered the week before the trip.
2022-23 (Redshirt)
Burt walked on to the Husker program and redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska
Burt joined the Husker program after helping Elkhorn South High School to a 16-9 record and the school’s first-ever Class A state tournament appearance in 2022. Burt earned honorable-mention Class A all-state honors from the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star after averaging 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game for Coach Nolan Reilly. He reached double figures 17 times, including a season-high 22 against Bellevue West, and totaled four double-doubles as a senior. A two-year letterwinner at Elkhorn South, Burt played AAU basketball with the Omaha Sports Academy and Coach Jon Burt. He also was a member of the honor roll at Elkhorn South.
Personal
The son of Tom and Ashley Burt, Henry was born on April 13, 2004, in Newport Beach, Calif. He has an older sister (Maddie) and two half brothers (Wynston and Wesley). Burt majors in business administration at Nebraska.
