2023-24 (Sophomore)
Jeffrey Grace III provided depth for the Husker backcourt, as he appeared in 16 games, including all three of NU's postseason games. He tallied six points and three rebounds in 23 minutes of action, recording baskets against both Lindenwood and Florida A&M. Grace had two points by going 2-of-2 from the line and adding a rebound in a season-high four minutes against South Carolina State. He chipped in two points and an assist in four minutes against Lindenwood. He made seven appearances in Big Ten action, mostly in spot situations. Grace got a chance to play extended minutes during NU's trip to Spain in the summer of 2023, including 15 minutes in NU's finale where he had two rebounds and a pair of steals.
2022-23 (Redshirt Freshman)
Grace played in 11 games after transferring from Arizona State. The walk-on totaled four points and three rebounds in limited duty while also being a valuable member of the scout team. Grace scored his first collegiate points on a putback against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He also had a pair of free throws and a rebound at Michigan.
Before Nebraska
Grace comes to Nebraska as a walk-on after spending the 2021-22 season at Arizona State University under Coach Bobby Hurley. Grace redshirted in his only season with the Sun Devils. A native of Elmhurst, Ill., Grace played four seasons at York High School for coaches Mike Dunn and Vince Doran. Grace was a two-time West Suburban Conference selection as a junior and senior and was an honorable-mention DuPage County selection in 2020 after averaging 11 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. He helped the team to a school-record 29 wins in 2018-19 and 28 wins in 2019-20, the best two-year run at the school in program history. Grace also played football at York High School. He was named the Male Athlete of the Year during his junior season. He played his AAU basketball with Breakaway Basketball for Coach Greg Ktistou, where he was a club teammate of Sam Hoiberg for several years.
Personal
The son of the late Latonia Friend-Grace and Jeff Grace II, Jeffrey Grace III was born on Sept. 25, 2002, in Chicago. He has one older brother (Jarvis). Jeff majors in sports media and communications at Nebraska. Grace is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2024-25.
