Braden Burke is in his first season as a graduate manager at Nebraska after joining the staff in June of 2026. He brings a well-rounded background in basketball, as a former collegiate player, high school assistant coach and worked in skill development before coming to Lincoln.
Most recently, he has worked in player development realm, working with NBA and overseas plyers during the offseason where he assisted with workouts, skill development and film review. He also served as an assistant coach at Lakeshore (Mich.) High School for three seasons, where he led post player development and offseason player development workouts while assisting with practice planning, scouting preparation and sill development.
Burke played collegiately at several schools, most notably Michigan State where he spent three seasons with the Spartans (2017-18 to 2019-20). He played in games for the Spartans after sitting out a transfer season and was a part of three Big Ten regular-season championships at MSU. The 2018-19 Spartans swept both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships and reached the Final Four. He began his collegiate career at Robert Morris in 2016-17, where he played in 32 games, including eight starts, for the Colonials and finished his career as a grad transfer at Central Michigan during the 2020-21 season.
Burke received his bachelor’s degree in advertising management in 2020 and is working on a graduate degree in educational administration. In addition to his basketball experience, he founded a streetwear brand (FLXR) and operated a professional recording and mixing studio for artists and creatives and some of his work was featured on the soundtrack for NBA 2K25.
Burke joins Satchel Stern, Charlie Hoiberg and Braden Grant as graduate managers for the 2026-27 season.
