2026 (Junior)
Odden was a key contributor to Nebraska’s success during the 2026 season. He competed in all but one meet for the Huskers and was the consistent anchor for the team on high bar. This was his first season competing in the all-around, which he did at Rocky Mountain Open and recorded a 77.65 all-around score. During RMO, he hit a 13.50 on vault, which stayed his career-high all season. During the Ohio State meet, he had a 13.85 on floor, which was his career-high. At the home quad meet, he had recorded his career-high on pommel horse of a 13.60. At the Michigan meet he had a career-high on high bar, which was a 14.30. At Big Ten Championships, he competed in the all-around during qualifiers and received second place with a 78.00 and had a 12.95 on pommel horse, which was a career-high. He also competed in Big Ten Individual Finals. At the NCAA Championships, he competed in qualifiers and finals for the Huskers. At the NCAA Finals, he had a second-place finish in the all-around with a career-high score of 78.698 and had an eighth-place finish on high bar with a score of 13.700. He claimed two individual titles on high bar this season. Outside of the gym, Odden majors in Business Administration. 

2025 (Sophomore)
Max Odden capped his sophomore season with an All-American honor on high bar. He posted a 13.66 on the apparatus for eighth place. Odden notched a career-high of 14.10 for a first-place finish on high bar against the Greenville Panthers. He also claimed a 14.10 at the Michigan meet. 

Outside of the gym, Odden was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2024 (Freshman)
Odden was a mainstay in the Husker lineup as he competed on high bar. Highlighting the season was his Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor after his impressive performance in NU’s victory over Illinois. Odden helped the Huskers reach their season-best team score and top the Fighting Illini, 416.550-406.050, as the freshman earned a first-place finish on high bar (13.85), setting a new personal-best record and notched his first career title and taking home his first career accolades. He also saw action at the NCAA Qualifiers.

Outside of the gym, Odden was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship team.


Before Nebraska

Odden competed for North Valley Gymnastics under Head Coach Travis Rainer. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native competed in the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, where he notched a fifth-place finish on still rings. At the 2022 Elite Team Cup, Odden earned first team honors. He also qualified for the 2022 Winter Cup in Frisco, Texas.

Personal
Max is the son of Kevin and Courtneay Odden and has two siblings, Luke and Jo. He is majoring in business administration.
