2026 (Sophomore)
Tarca competed in every meet for the Huskers during the 2026 season. He started his sophomore season off at Rocky Mountain Open, where he recorded a 13.10 on pommel horse.  He hit his career high of 13.90 on pommel horse and his career high of 13.65 on high bar during the home quad meet. At Big Ten qualifiers, he had a 13.40 on pommel horse and a 13.20 on high bar. At Big Ten Finals, he notched a 12.85 on pommel horse. During the NCAA qualifiers, he competed on pommel horse and received a 13.666. At the NCAA Finals, he scored a 13.566 on pommel horse for a 10th-place finish. He claimed one individual title this year on pommel horse. Outside of the gym, Tarca was named Academic All-Big Ten and was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll during the fall of 2025. Tarca is majoring in Finance. 

2025 (Freshman) 
Nik Tarca made his Husker debut at the Rocky Mountain Open on pommel horse, earning a career high of 12.35. Tarca did not compete after the Rocky Mountain Open for the Huskers. 

Internationally, Tarca competed at the European Championships for Romania, where he placed 25th on pommel horse and 37th in the all-around. 

In the classroom, he was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and a Tom Osborne Citizenship Team member. 

Before Nebraska 
Nik competed at GymTek Academy under Head Coach Matt Henry and graduated from Abeka Academy in 2022. 

Personal 
The son of Adina Tarca, Nik, plans on majoring in business at Nebraska.
