2024 (Senior) 

Yanni Chronopoulos competed in seven regular-season meets along with participating in the NCAA Qualifiers and the NCAA Championships. His high score on the season was a 14.55 on the parallel bars during the Huskers’ road victory against Ohio State. He also set a career best in the high bar at 14.20 in the tri-meet with Army and Greenville.

Chronopoulos was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. 

Chronopoulos was selected as an alternate for Team Canada during the 2024 Olympics held in Paris. Chronopouls was competing with Team Canada during the 2023 World Championships in October of 2023, where the team placed seventh. Before qualifying last year, Canada had not qualified in team events since 2008.

2023 (Junior)
Yanni Chronopoulos saw action in three regular season meets before competing at both the NCAA Qualifiers and the NCAA Championships. His high score on the season came with a 13.80 on the parallel bars at the NCAA Championships. He set two career bests on both the parallel bars and the high bar.

 Chronopoulos earned a Nebraska Bronze Medallion, as well as a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

2022 (Sophomore)
Chronopoulos competed in five meets during the 2022 season. Chronopoulos claimed four new personal bests throughout the year, including three against Penn State. He notched a 13.95 on pommel horse, a 13.75 on rings and a 13.75 on parallel bars, all personal bests. His career-high of the time on high bar came at the Rocky Mountain Open with a 13.40.  

2021 (Freshman)
Chronopoulos competed for the Huskers in three of eight meets during the 2021 season. Chronopoulos made his Husker debut against Penn State where he notched two season-high scores with a 13.05 on rings and a 13.85 on vault. Chronopoulos saw a season-high score on pommel horse at the home-opener against Minnesota notching a 12.95. 

Before Nebraska
Yanni Chronopoulos joins the Huskers after training in Mississauga, Ontario, at Futures Gymnastics where he was coached by Zhaohui Huang. Chronopoulus was a member of the Canadian Junior World Championships team and the Canadian Junior National Team.

Personal
Yanni was born on March, 18, 2002.  Chronopoulos is the son of Nick and Iryna Chronopoulos. Yanni has one sister, Maria. He likes to spend his free time with friends and family. Chronopoulos is a nutrition, exercise and health sciences major who earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2022.

“I chose Nebraska because of the belief and support shown towards me from the team. Also because I really enjoyed the team, coaches and being in Lincoln.” 

 Chronopoulos chose Nebraska over California, Minnesota and Michigan.
