2024-25: Senior
In his fourth and final season with Nebraska, Calvin Mueller earned his second consecutive spot on the All-Big Ten First Team. The senior earned the accolade after competing in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions. Mueller joins Dusty Boyer and Christopher Aumueller as the only Huskers to earn multiple all-conference first team singles honors.
The business administration major tallied two ranked wins and was consistently in the ITA national rankings week to week. Facing 12 ranked opponents, Mueller went 11-10 in the spring regular season, including ten straight-set victories.
The Husker’s Big Ten victories were earned against Northwestern, Michigan, Purdue, Washington and Oregon. On the doubles side, Mueller posted an 8-3 conference record, going 5-0 partnered with Lars Johann to close the regular season. In his career, Mueller tallied 64 singles wins and 56 doubles victories. He has a combined 31 wins at the conclusion of his senior season. Mueller comes in at 10th for career victories in NU history.
Off the court, Mueller was named to his fourth Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
2023-24: Junior
Calvin Mueller had an outstanding and decorated junior season, reaching 27 singles wins and being named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Mueller was named Big Ten Player of the Week twice in the season (Jan. 24, 2024, April 24, 2024), the only 2023-24 Husker to do so. The international business administration major was ranked No. 71 on May 2, the highest Husker ranking since 2012, with records of 27-12 in singles and 18-12 in doubles. Mueller tallied six ranked-upset wins against conference opponents, most notably taking down #34 Ronald Hohman, #28 Justin Boulais and #42 Hunter Heck. Mueller’s victory over Illinois’ Heck helped push the Big Red to defeat #26 Illinois in the Big Ten Quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals for the first time in program history. His 27 singles wins notch Mueller at No. 5 in program history for top singles wins in a season, passing Toby Boyer (26). Mueller reached 40 career doubles wins with an 18-12 record and accrued over half of his 49 career singles wins in the 2023-24 season. Mueller was also named to the All-Big Ten Tournament Team after the Huskers reached the semifinals for the first time in program history.
In the fall, Mueller and sophomore Leo Linquet finished second in doubles play at the ITA Milwaukee Tennis Classic. To conclude the individual season, Mueller went on a 5-0 run at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, to claim the 2023 Big Ten Individual Singles Champion title, being the first and only Husker to do so.

Alongside William Gleason in doubles play, the duo posted a perfect 4-0 record in conference play at the No. 3 slot. They were the only team to finish the spring season with an unblemished record, notching wins over Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue and Penn State.
