2024-25: Redshirt Freshman
After redshirting the 2023-24 season, Colson Wells came to compete in his second year with Nebraska. The Husker had the second-most singles victories on the team, going 18-11 and 4-11 in doubles. Wells competed in the No. 6 singles slot for NU, notching Big Ten wins against Northwestern, Michigan, Purdue and Oregon. He claimed 10 straight set singles victories on the season. The freshman partnered with Leo Linquet and Nikolay Sysoev in the No. 3 doubles position, going 3-4 in Big Ten play.

Off the court, Wells was named to his second Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2023-24: Redshirt
Colson Wells did not see action in his first year as a Husker, as he redshirted in the 2023-24 season. The freshman from Michigan was honored off the court, being named to the 2024 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Before Nebraska 
A native of Okemos, Mich., Colson Wells signed with Nebraska in January of 2023. A four-star recruit, Wells is a two-time Michigan state champion. He is also a two-time first-team all-state member. His highest career ITF ranking is 1,735 in June of 2022.  

Personal
The son of Jeremy and Kimberly Wells, Colson is majoring in Business Administration.
