2024 (Sophomore)
Kayma Carpenter played in eight games for NU in 2024. She took three shots over 283 minutes of action.
2023 (Freshman)
In her freshman campaign, Carpenter played in eight matches, started one and amassed 160 minutes. She tallied her first career finish in NU’s victory over Missouri on Aug. 31. Carpenter added an assist, while also recording six shots and five shots on goal.
High School
Carpenter is the second native Nebraskan in the 2023 signing class as she hails from Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Neb., where she is coached by Emily Mathews. Carpenter helped her team to both the 2021 state semifinals and the 2022 state playoffs. Individually, she was First-Team Super State and First-Team All-Nebraska in 2021 and 2022.
Other Information
During the club season, Carpenter plays for Coach Chad Gleckler at Gretna Elite Academy. She led the team to the 2021 and 2022 ECNL National Playoffs. Carpenter is also successful in the classroom, as she earned Academic All-State honors in 2022 and was a three-time scholar-athlete award winner.
Personal Information
Kayma is the daughter of Bryan and Sheli Carpenter and was born on Jan. 3, 2005. She has two brothers, Branden and Corey. Kayma is majoring in Elementary Education.
