2024 (Junior)
Lauryn Anglim was a constant in the Husker backfield, starting all 17 matches this season while playing 1,324 minutes. She helped the Huskers to a pair of shutout victories, while scoring a goal in NU’s 5-2 victory over Creighton and tallying five assists in 2024. She was fourth on the team in points with seven and recorded nine shots and five shots on goal.
2023 (Sophomore)
A Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Member, Anglim started all 24 games and amassed 2,132 minutes, second-most on the team. She helped Nebraska to seven shutouts, while individually scoring one goal and tallying five assists. Anglim also recorded seven shots and six shots on goal. Her second-career finish was a highlight-reel bender off a corner kick to help NU secure the 4-2 decision over Illinois and secure the 2023 Big Ten regular season title.
2022 (Freshman)
Anglim had a breakout freshman campaign and was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. As a constant in the Husker backfield, Anglim helped Nebraska to five shutouts, while individually scoring one goal and recording four assists. Anglim started each of the 20 games, compiling 1,795 minutes. On Oct. 23, 2022, she scored her lone goal of the season against Wisconsin in the final game of the regular season. She also took four shots, two of which were shots on goal, to help NU to an 8-7-5 record overall and a tie for fourth in the Big Ten with a 5-3-2 mark in conference play.
High School
Anglim played for Coach April Kelcher at Papillion-La Vista High School and is joined in the signing class by teammate Ella Guyott. She led her team to a state tournament appearance in 2019. She also earned a varsity soccer letter.
Other Information
Anglim played club for the Elite Girls Academy before she switched to the Gretna Elite Academy, where she is coached by Mitch Kavanagh. There, her team went to the ECNL playoffs in 2021. As a part of the Gretna Elite Academy, she was selected to play in the ECNL National Selection Game in 2021 and was a member of the ECNL Midwest Conference second team in 2020-21. She was also the captain of her team. Academically, she earned honorable-mention her freshman and junior year of high school and earned Academic All-State honors in 2021. She was also a Summa Cum Laude.
Personal Information
Lauryn is the daughter of Greg and Brenda Anglim and was born on Jan. 22, 2004. She has one sister, Madyson, and one brother, Garrett, who was on the Husker baseball team. Lauryn (also called LoLo) is majoring in pre-health and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring semesters of 2022 and 2023.
