Before Nebraska
Cali Bentz was a second-team Class B All-State member for both the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World-Herald in 2023 and 2025 and earned honorable mention All-State in both 2022 and 2024. She was a four-time first-team All-Conference selection for Lakeview High School.
Bentz owns Lakeview single-season records for strikeouts in a game, hits, batting average, home runs, innings pitched and total strikeouts. She has the Lakeview career records in hits, batting average, home runs, innings pitched, strikeouts and RBIs. She was a four-year captain in high school and was named to the Triple Crown Sports Nationals All-Tournament Team while playing club ball for Nebraska Gold.
