Sophomore (2024-25)
Baxter capped her season with many notable achievements in the diving well. The sophomore from Coppell, Texas, grabbed 15 zone-qualifying dives, 15 top-five finishes, six of which were individual titles as well a personal-best and her first NCAA Championship appearance. 

Baxter dominated the one-and-three-meter boards all year leading the Husker divers in individual titles. At the Hawkeye Invitational, mid-November, Baxter made her entry on the three-meter board scoring a 332.45, the best of her Nebraska career. At the Big Ten Championships, she competed on both boards. Her first entry was on the one-meter board producing a 17th-place finish with a score of 266.10. On the three-meter board, she secured 18th-place grabbing a score of 271.35. 

Baxter earned a spot at the 2025 NCAA Championships with her dominant performance at Zones D Diving Championships in Iowa City, Iowa. She qualified with her ninth-place finish on the three-meter board (324.70). Additionally, Baxter finished in 15th-place on the one-meter board (562.15) just shy of another NCAA bid. Baxter finished out her sophomore 2024-25 season at NCAA’s where she made her debut by collecting a 20th-place finish in the three-meter prelims (299.45). 

Freshman (2023-24)
Baxter highlighted her freshman season by qualifying for the one-meter final at the NCAA Zone D Championships in Houston, Texas. She posted a score of 295.70 in the prelims for a seventh-place finish and a spot in the final, where she took 17th overall. Baxter placed 12th on the one meter (263.05) at the Big Ten Championships to score team points.

At the Mizzou Invite, she picked up a pair of top-five finishes. Baxter earned a score of 267.50 in the one-meter prelims and improved it to 300.75 in the final for a second-place finish. On the three meter, she finished fourth with a zone-qualifying score of 304.30. 

Earlier in the season, Baxter logged two titles against Iowa State (Oct. 14). She eclipsed 300 points on both the one- and three-meter events, earning scores of 301.25 and 300.85, respectively. Against Illinois, Baxter earned her three-meter career best with a 331.65 and a first-place finish. She coupled that with a title on the one meter (296.18).

Before Nebraska
Baxter competed on the one- and three-meter boards in club diving and made it to the AAU Finals in both events during her first year of competition. In her second year, she made the USA Diving Nationals and placed 18th in the one-meter dive.

Personal
The daughter of Steven and Sheila Baxter, Abby is from Dallas, Texas and was born on June 17, 2005. She has one brother, Ethan. Abby is majoring in advertising and public relations and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semesters of 2023 and 2024. She is also a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

“I chose Nebraska because I loved the team, coaches, and the business school is incredible,” Baxter said. “I believe Nebraska will be a home away from home where I will be able to grow academically and peak in my sport of diving.”
