Senior (2024-25)
Cate notched a first-place finish and a seasonal best in the 200 butterfly (2:04.79), while also recording a seasonal best in the 500 free in a dual against the Iowa State Cyclones at the Devaney Center (Oct. 25).  

Bisiacchi slated strong performances in a dual against the Iowa Hawkeyes by finishing fourth in the 1000 freestyle (10:27.03), second in the 200 butterfly (2:05.50) and sixth in the 100 butterfly (59.34). She also contributed to a fourth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:35.20) as a leg.

Caterina (Cate) Bisiacchi helped the Huskers to a strong showing in a season-opening double-dual with No. 24 Minnesota and South Dakota by claiming a fourth-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:06.26) at the Devaney Natatorium (Oct. 4). She added a seventh-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:11.11), while also swimming legs of the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay for the Huskers against the Golden Gophers and Coyotes.

Junior (2023-24)
Bisiacchi was a key contributor to freestyle and butterfly events in her first season as a Husker. She totaled 24 top-five finishes, including 13 top-three performances. At the Hawkeye Invitational, Bisiacchi earned a third-place finish in the 1,650 freestyle (16:43.29). She set a new career best in the event at the Big Ten Championships with a 20th-place finish (16.37.28). Bisiacchi finished fourth in the 500 freestyle final at the Hawkeye Invite (4:50.19) and seventh in the 200 butterfly (2:03.59). She set a career best in the 200 freestyle with her ninth-place finish (1:50.79).

In a dual with Omaha, Bisiacchi won the 500 freestyle (5:05.91) and took third in the 200 butterfly (2:05.47). Against Illinois, she added two runner-up finishes. Bisiacchi set a career best with her second-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle (10:04.76). She added another runner-up finish in the 500 freestyle (4:55.72) and placed third in the 200 butterfly (2:03.05). In a dual with Rutgers (Feb. 2-3), Bisiacchi earned a pair of runner-up finishes in the 500 and 1,650 freestyles, while adding two fourth-place finishes.

Before Nebraska
Bisiacchi came Nebraska as a junior from Trieste, Italy. Bisiacchi graduated from the University of Trieste in July of 2023. She attended Liceo Scientifico Guglielmo Oberdan and competed for A.s.d. Tergeste Nuoto Altura under Coach Matteo Bianchi. Bisiacchi was crowned the National Category Champion in 2018 for her first-place finish in the 200-meter butterfly. Also in 2018, she qualified for the B Final Italian Championships in the 200-meter butterfly. Bisiacchi placed second in the 200-meter butterfly at the 2019 Italian Category Championships. She qualified for the B Final in the 200-meter butterfly at two different events in 2019, the Italian Championships and the Internazionali di Nuoto 56°SevenHills Trophy.

Personal 
The daughter of Roberto Bisiacchi and Alessandra Giacomini, Cate was born on May 2, 2001. She has one sister, Chiara. Cate is  pursuing a master’s degree in applied science at Nebraska and claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2023-24. She was also named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2024 for her service in the Lincoln community. Cate chose Nebraska because she felt welcomed by the team and coaches on her visit and was impressed with the facilities that Nebraska had to offer.
