Before Nebraska
Claire Parsons spent her first three collegiate years at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind., where she earned two spots on the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team. Parsons helped her team to back-to-back MVC Championships, highlighting her performance with a runner-up finish in the 1,650 free (16:40.13). She additionally competed in the 500 free (4th, 4:52.93) and the 200 free (7th, 1:49.48), helping her team to a total score of 1,236.
Personal
Claire was born on September 24, 2004, in St. Peters, Miss., to Mark and Christin Parsons. She has two sisters, Rose and Grace, as well as two brothers, Luke and Jude.
