Redshirt Sophomore (2025-26)

With consistent improvements in her second healthy year, Jenna Brown swam to four personal best times over the course of the season. 

The redshirt sophomore from Louisville, Ken. picked up her first best times at the Hawkeye Invitational in the 500 free and 100 butterfly. In the 500 free, Brown was able to trim 1.18 seconds from her times between prelims and finals. Her 4:55.89 gave her a 16th-place finish in the event. Her performance of 55.97 in the 100 fly finals was enough to finish in 28th for the midseason meet.

As her area of specialty, Brown’s second-place finish in a dual against Rutgers was her best of the season. A career-best mark came during the conference championships in Minneapolis, Minn. where she swam a 1:50.45 in the event’s prelims. Her last career best of the season came on the final day of Big Ten competition in the 200 fly where she nearly missed the C finals with a time of 2:00.12.

Redshirt Freshman (2024-25)
Jenna Brown produced strong performances for the Huskers in her redshirt freshman year in the freestyle and butterfly, along with relay events. She totaled 11 top-five performances, including six top-three finishes.

Brown began the season with a solid showing in the 100 butterfly (57.96) in a dual win over Kansas, grabbing a sixth-place finish. She put up strong times at the Hawkeye Invitational in November, including a 2:01.94 in the 200 fly to earn a fourth-place finish. She added a 4:56.05 in the 500 free in Iowa. She appeared in several exhibition swims, including a 200 freestyle time of 1:50.58 at the conference championships. 

Brown contributed in the 200 and 400 medley relays as well as the 400 free relay. In a tri-dual with Iowa at Rutgers, Brown helped NU 400 medley (3:49.97) and 400 free (3:30.40) relay teams to sixth-place finishes. She also assisted in the 200 medley relay against Illinois to secure a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:45.27.

Redshirt (2023-24)
Brown took a redshirt season in her first year at Nebraska in 2023-24. The native of Louisville, Ky., performed well in the classroom and claimed sports on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2023-24.

Before Nebraska
Brown competed primarily in the 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle for duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Ky., where she placed second in the 200 freestyle and fifth in the 200 butterfly at the 2023 KHSSA Championships. In 2022, she earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 fly. She placed fourth in the 200 free and eighth in the 100 fly in 2021 and fifth in the 200 free and eighth in the 100 fly in 2020.

Personal
The daughter of Dan and Angela Brown, Jenna was born on Aug. 17, 2005. She has one brother, Jackson. A management major, Jenna earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025. She has also claimed five spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She is a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
