Junior (2024-25)
Knapton posted a fifth-place finish on the three-meter dive, scoring 221.33 against the Kansas Jayhawks (Nov. 1).

Knapton finished fourth in the three-meter (271.43) in a dual against the Iowa State Cyclones at the Devaney Center (Oct. 25). She also posted a fifth-place performance on the one-meter board (257.78). 

Knapton posted a successful finish at the dual against the Iowa Hawkeyes (Oct.18) with a fifth-place finish in the three-meter dive (281.93).

Nettie Knapton opened her Husker career with a career-best 280.00 on the three-meter board in Nebraska's double-dual with No. 24 Minnesota and South Dakota at the Devaney Natatorium (Oct. 4). She also managed a 223.40 in the one-meter competition against the Golden Gophers and Coyotes.

Knapton joined the Nebraska diving team after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Wyoming. The Omaha Marian graduate could provide an immediate boost on platform for the Huskers, while adding strong scoring potential on the one- and three-meter boards. Knapton, whose sister Abi was a six-time All-America diver for the Huskers, will be a junior for the Huskers in 2024-25.

Knapton finished fifth on platform at the 2024 Mountain West Championships in Houston with a score of 255.90, while adding a ninth-place performance on the one-meter board (267.85) at the conference meet. Her scores on both platform and one meter met the NCAA A Standard. She also contributed a 20th-place effort on the three meter (211.00) at the 2024 Mountain West meet.

Sophomore (Wyoming, 2023-24)
As a  sophomore at Wyoming, Knapton posted a fifth-place finish on the platform at the 2024 Mountain West Championships with a career-best 255.90, which was the fourth-best platform performance in school history. She added a ninth-place conference finish on the one-meter (267.85) and a 20th-place finish on the three-meter (211.00).

Knapton went on to finish 19th on platform (219.30) in the preliminaries at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in Flagstaff, Ariz., just missing out on a spot in the 18-diver final. She added a 32nd-place finish on the three-meter dive (233.10) at Zones. She also qualified for zones on the one meter but did not compete in the event at the championships.

During the season, Knapton took seventh on platform (202.55) at the Mizzou Invitational.  She notched a runner-up finish on the three-meter (250.43) in a dual with Colorado State (Oct. 6) to open the regular season. She added a second straight runner-up finish on the three-meter board (253.35) in a dual with Air Force (Oct. 21). She recorded a career-best 272.18 on the three meter to finish third in a dual with Northern Colorado (Nov. 4).

Freshman (Wyoming, 2022-23)
As a freshman, Knapton was recognized as the Mountain West Freshman of the Week for her performance at the Air Force Diving Invitational (Feb. 2-4). She posted season bests of 263.85 on the three-meter dive against Denver (Jan. 7), while producing a season-best 259.28 on the one meter against Air Force (Oct. 29).

Before College
Knapton competed at Marian High School and was a top-five finisher at the 2022 Nebraska High School State Championships. With the Nebraska Diving Club, she earned a 17th-place finish on the platform at nationals her freshman season.

Personal
Nettie-Clare is the daughter of Jeff Knapton, and has one sister, Abi, who was a six-time All-America diver at Nebraska (2017-21).  An agricultural business major, Nettie was named to the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Team in 2023 and 2024.
