2021-22 (Senior)
Hallie Roman recorded a successful senior campaign, notching career-best dives and making her first appearance at the NCAA Zone Championships. At the Big Ten Championships, Roman earned a spot in the one meter consolation finals, where she finished 14th with a 263.05. She added a 26th-place finish in the three meter with a 268.15 and a 32nd-place finish in the platform with a 197.40.

Roman started out her senior season with a second-place finish in the one-meter and the three-meter diving events at the South Dakota State dual. In the Iowa dual, Roman finished fifth in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events.

In a packed weekend filled with duals against Minnesota (Oct. 29) and Iowa State (Oct. 30), Roman recorded a pair of third-place dives in the three-meter on back-to-back days. The next week in a dual against the Jayhawks, Roman had a runner-up finish in the one-meter (262.13) and finished third in the three-meter (248.85). Roman made three finals appearances at the competitive Mizzou Invitational, while placing sixth in the one-meter (238.80), eighth in the platform (203.80) and 12th in the three-meter (232.40). Roman recorded a pair of career-best dives during the last dual of the season. She scored a 278.48 in the one-meter to finish fifth and qualify for zones. The senior followed that up with a 277.65 in three-meter to finish seventh.

To cap off the season, Roman placed 32nd at Zones with a 234.70.

2020-21 (Junior)
Roman continued to be a solid performer in the best diving corps in Nebraska history in 2020-21. Roman produced four top-five finishes during the season, including a third-place performance with a career-best 271.57 on the one-meter board against Illinois (Jan. 23). She contributed another third-place showing on the three-meter dive with a season-high 272.63 against the Illini. She added fourth-place finishes on both events in the season-opening dual at Iowa (Jan. 16). At the 2021 Big Ten Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind., Roman placed 19th in the one-meter dive (262.45), while taking 26th on platform (179.65). She also finished 37th on the three-meter dive (224.50). Earlier in the season, Roman posted a career-best 218.60 on the platform in a tri-dual with Minnesota and Iowa (Feb. 6).

2019-20 (Sophomore)
Roman competed in all three diving events for the Huskers at the 2020 Big Ten Championships. She led Nebraska with a 15th-place finish on platform (192.20) at the conference meet and also finished 26th (232.50) on the one meter, before settling for 40th (211.05) on three meter. Earlier in the season, Roman notched a career-best 255.60 to finish third individually in a dual meet win over Iowa State (Oct. 19). She added a then-career-best 204.30 to finish 10th on platform at the Mizzou Invitational. During the season, Roman produced 12 top-five finishes, including four runner-up performances and six third-place efforts. In the classroom, Roman earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

2018-19 (Freshman)
Roman had a stellar first campaign for the Huskers. At the CAMO International Invitational, she scored 262.95 in the one-meter dive to finish 19th. She added a 21st-place finish in the three-meter event. Roman also placed 16th in the three-meter dive at the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invitational, in addition to her 12th-place finish on the one meter. Competing at the Big Ten Championships, Roman concluded her season with a pair of 38th-place finishes in the one- and three-meter dives. Outside the water, she earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. 

Previous
One of three divers to join the Huskers in 2018-19, Roman was a three-time regional qualifier, three-time Michigan state high school qualifier and three-time MAC Blue Champion at Port Huron Northern High School. Roman came to Nebraska after completing three consecutive undefeated dual meet seasons. Roman is also Port Huron Northern’s school record holder in the individual medley. She was named team captain in 2017. Roman took 12th in the platform dive at the USA Zone C Diving Meet as a member of Legacy Diving Club. A tremendous all-around athlete, Roman was a three-time individual AAU All-American and a six-time team national champion as a member of Kaleidoscope Gymnastics. In 2017, Roman posted the third-highest score in the nation on the balance beam. She was also a six-time all-stater and three-time Michigan high school state qualifier as a gymnast, while earning two appearances at the Michigan high school track and field championships as a pole vaulter. A Wendy’s High School Heisman school award winner and Port Huron Northern’s Top Female Athlete in 2018, Roman was an outstanding student as well. She was named the valedictorian at Port Huron Northern and was a three-time Academic All-State selection. An MHSAA Scholar-Athlete finalist, she was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal 
The daughter of Christa and Andrew Roman, Hallie was born May 21, 2000 in Port Huron, Mich. Hallie has one sister, Alexis. A psychology major, Hallie earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in August of 2022. She was a second-team CSCAA Scholar All-American in 2022. She was also a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2021 and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. She claimed eight spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was the Nebraska Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Secretary and a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. She chose Nebraska over Kansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Michigan State and Akron.
