Jolene Emricson is in her 24th season as the athletic trainer for the Nebraska volleyball team in 2024. In her role, she evaluates and treats injuries as well as oversees rehabilitation programs for the Husker volleyball team.
In Emricson’s time as athletic trainer, the Huskers have won three NCAA Championships and 11 conference titles.
Before arriving in Lincoln, Emricson spent one year as the athletic trainer for the men’s lacrosse team at Denver, where she also assisted with the men’s ice hockey team.
Emricson, who is from Colorado Springs, Colo., earned a bachelor of arts degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in human performance and sport with a concentration in athletic training. While at Metro State,
Emricson worked with the women’s soccer, women’s basketball and baseball programs.
She received her master’s degree in education from Nebraska in May of 2004.
