Senior (2024-25)
Alberte Rimdal (pronounced al-BER-tee RIM-doll) joined the Nebraska program on April 13, 2024, after spending her first three seasons at Florida. A member of the Danish National Team, the 5-9 guard bolstered a backcourt that lost a trio of graduate students (Jaz Shelley, Maddie Krull, Darian White) who helped the Huskers to the 2024 NCAA second round.

Rimdal has been a significant contributor for Nebraska throughout the season, averaging 8.0 points and 2.4 assists while playing all 32 games with six starts for the 21-11 Huskers. Most recently, Rimdal averaged 9.7 points and 4.7 assists over three games for the Big Red at the Big Ten Tournament, including 12 points and a career-high-tying eight assists in a first-round win over Rutgers (March 5). She added 10 points and six assists against No. 4 UCLA (March 7).

Rimdal erupted for a season-high 20 points against Iowa (Feb. 10). It was her first 20-point game as a Husker and second of her career. She followed with a big 15-point effort in just 21 minutes in Nebraska's upset at No. 17 Maryland (Feb. 13). Rimdal added 15 points and five assists to help the Huskers to a win over Oregon (Feb. 19), before closing the regular season with 17 points on 5-of-6 three-point shooting in a win at Northwestern (March 2).

Rimdal notched her 12th double-figure scoring effort of the season and sixth in NU's last nine games with 10 points and six assists against No. 4 UCLA (March 7). She had 11 points and a season-high three steals in a Big Ten road win at Purdue (Jan. 30). She opened Big Ten play with 12 points and a then-career-high six assists in a win over Minnesota (Dec. 8). She also established her career high with eight assists in a win over Wisconsin (Jan. 20).

She had 15 points and a season-high five rebounds in a win over Kansas City (Nov. 26). Rimdal also had 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win over North Alabama (Nov. 19).

Rimdal is shooting 49.2 percent from the field, including 45.2 percent (33-73) from three-point range. She had a strong nine-point, three-assist effort in an overtime win at Iowa (Jan. 16). She made her first Husker start in place of an injured Britt Prince in a win over Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 9). Rimdal had 14 points, including a trio of threes, to go with three assists and two steals against the Lady Lions. Rimdal starred off the bench with Prince’s return in a win over Southern (Nov. 12), scoring 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting while adding three rebounds. Rimdal was back in the starting five in a record-setting win over South Dakota (Nov. 16), when she had seven points, five rebounds and two assists. She enjoyed an eight-point effort on 3-for-3 shooting in Nebraska's win over No. 20 Michigan State (Jan. 8).

Rimdal opened her Husker career with five points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in 19 minutes in an 88-48 win over Omaha (Nov. 4).

A native of Koge, Denmark (pronounced Koo), Rimdal brought a reputation as a knockdown shooter with her from Florida, where she started 50 games over the previous two seasons for the Gators. In three years at Florida, Rimdal scored in double figures 27 times in 96 career games, averaging 6.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in her three seasons. A consistent three-point threat, Rimdal hit 33.7 percent (114-338) of her threes and 89.3 percent (67-75) of her free throws at Florida.

She is an experienced, high IQ, skilled athlete who makes great decisions. She can impact a game in several ways, and her versatility will be extremely valuable for our team."

Junior (2023-24, Florida)
Rimdal made 17 starts while playing in 30 of Florida's 32 games as a junior in 2023-24. She averaged 7.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while hitting 37-of-116 three-pointers (.319).

She scored a season-high 20 points at Gardner-Webb (Dec. 17), as one of 10 double-figure scoring efforts on the season. Rimdal added 13 points against Florida State (Nov. 17), Michigan (Dec. 20) and at Mississippi State (Feb. 11), while pitching in 12 points against Mississippi State (Jan. 22) and Missouri (March 6), and 11 at Tennessee (Jan. 11).

Rimdal contributed 10-point games at Georgia Tech (Nov. 29) and at Alabama (Feb. 29).

Sophomore (2022-23, Florida)
As a sophomore in 2022-23, Rimdal started 33 of 34 games for the Gators while averaging career bests of 8.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists. She knocked down 38.2 percent (50-131) of her three-point attempts while connecting on 89.4 percent (42-47) of her free throws in 28.1 minutes per game for a Florida team that finished 19-15 and advanced to the Postseason WNIT quarterfinals.

She produced 12 games in double figures as a sophomore, including a career-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field to go with a career-high five assists against Tennessee (Dec. 29, 2022). Rimdal added 19 points and a season-best four three-pointers against Furman (Nov. 21, 2022), while adding four more threes to finish with 12 points against Georgia (Jan. 8, 2023).

Rimdal also earned a spot on the Denmark National Team for the 2023 Mitsui Fudosan Cup, a three-game series between Denmark and Japan at Takasaki Arena (June 16-18).

Freshman (2021-22, Florida)
In her first season at Florida in 2021-22, Rimdal averaged 4.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 32 games off the bench. She went a perfect 16-for-16 at the free throw line and connected on 27-of-91 three-pointers (.297) to earn a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.

She was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Week (Jan. 25, 2022) after back-to-back scintillating shooting efforts at Alabama (Jan. 16) and Kentucky (Jan. 20). Rimdal went 6-for-6 from the field, including 5-for-5 from three-point range on her way to 17 points in 23 minutes at Alabama. She matched her career high with five more threes on 5-of-6 shooting to finish with 15 points at Kentucky, before adding six points against LSU (Jan. 23), including a make on her only three-point attempt. For the week (Jan. 16-23), Rimdal went 11-for-12 from three-point range.

Rimdal finished with five games in double figures as a freshman.

Before College
Rimdal came to the United States with extensive international experience, competing in Denmark's national team program since she was 15 and playing in over 50 countries at the national level. She averaged 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists at the 2019 U18 European Championships, after averaging 18.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championships in 2018. She also represented the Danish National Team at the 2020 European Qualifiers.

Rimdal, who was ranked as the No. 10 player in the WorldWideHoops Class of 2021 rankings, was chosen twice to participate in the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp, which is a joint venture between the NBA and FIBA. In 2019, she was named the all-star game MVP and the three-point champion. In February of 2020, she attended the event in Chicago during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Personal
The daughter of Randi Mehrenst Rimdal and Brian Rimdal, Alberte has a brother, Viggo, and an older sister, Cirkeline, who also played collegiately in the United States. A human development and family sciences major, Alberte earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2024.

Cirkeline completed her eligibility at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. where she helped the Tritons to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in 2022-23. Cirkeline was a member of the Danish U20 National Team in 2020. She began her career at North Dakota State, where she played 58 total games for the Bison over the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
