Outlook (2025-26)
Nebraska added size, experience and athleticism with the signing of Eliza Maupin to its 2025-26 women's basketball roster, Husker Head Coach Amy Williams announced on Monday, April 14.

Maupin, a 6-3 forward from Webster Groves, Mo., joins the Huskers after playing in 33 games with two starts for Kansas State as a junior in 2024-25. Maupin hit 63.2 percent (55-87) of her shots from the field while averaging 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. She also dished out a career-high 29 assists and blocked a career-best 17 shots for the Wildcats.

"We are so excited to welcome Eliza to the Husker women's basketball family," Williams said. "She has a winning mindset and strong desire to develop, which fits perfectly in our culture. Her length, athleticism, skillset and experience make her primed to excel on both sides of the ball within our system."

Before Nebraska (Kansas State, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25)
In three seasons at KSU, Maupin played in 98 games with three starts while converting 62.3 percent (157-252) of her field goal attempts. She totaled 390 points, 263 rebounds, 47 assists, 38 blocks and 49 steals. She averaged 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per game as a Wildcat.

Maupin played in 33 games with two starts as a junior for K-State, totaling 128 points, 92 rebounds and career season bests of 29 assists and 17 blocked shots. She also nabbed 13 steals. She produced a season-high 15 points on perfect shooting (6-for-6 FG, 3-for-3 FT) to go with five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over USC Upstate (Dec. 5). Maupin had 10 points and eight rebounds in a win over Little Rock (Nov. 18). She added nine points, seven rebounds and two assists against Eastern Illinois (Dec. 3). She also produced six points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks against Arizona State (Jan. 19).

As a sophomore in 2023-24, Maupin appeared in 29 games and averaged 4.0 points per game while shooting a career-best 68.7 percent (46-67) from the field. She added 2.3 rebounds per game. She notched her third career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds to go with three steals off the bench against UCF (Feb. 17, 2024). Maupin erupted for a career-high 18 points on 7-for-7 shooting in a career-high 30 minutes off the bench at Texas (Feb. 4, 2024). She added 16 points on 6-for-6 shooting, including her first career three-pointer, to go with nine rebounds in 29 minutes off the bench at Baylor (Jan. 22, 2024). 

Maupin played in 36 games with one start as a true freshman for the Wildcats in 2022-23, averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. She produced her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in just 13 minutes of work in a win over Utah Tech (Nov. 20, 2022). She added her second double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes at TCU (Feb. 18, 2023). She just missed another double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench at West Virginia (Feb. 25, 2023). Maupin pumped in a season-high 14 points to go with five rebounds at Oklahoma (March 1, 2023) for her sixth double-figure scoring effort of her freshman campaign.

High School
Maupin earned Missouri Class 5 All-State honors as a senior at Webster Groves High School in 2022 after averaging 15.3 points on 61 percent shooting, including 34 percent from three-point range. She added 7.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 rebounds on her way to Class 5 District 2 Player-of-the-Year honors and first-team All-Suburban Conference accolades.

As a junior in 2021, Maupin averaged 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point range to help Webster Groves to a Missouri Class 6 state runner-up finish. She was also a significant contributor for the Stateswomen as a freshman and sophomore. 

In addition to her exploits on the basketball court, Maupin was the Missouri Class 5 state high jump champion as a freshman in 2019 and as a junior in 2021. She also set the Webster Groves school record in the long jump.

Personal
The daughter of Micah and Heather Maupin, Eliza was born Sept. 1, 2003. She has 10 siblings, Isaiah, Malachi, Olyvia, Luke, Myah, Adele, Silas, Ezra, Saul and Titus. She is a marketing major.
