Outlook (2025-26)
One of the Big Ten's most consistent long-range shooters, Logan Nissley returns for her third season as a Husker ready to help lead an experienced Big Red backcourt.

A member of the 2024 Big Ten All-Freshman team, Nissley has drained 38 percent of her three-point attempts over her first two seasons in Lincoln, while averaging 57 made threes per year.

Last year, Nissley was a primary starter in the Husker backcourt despite being limited by foot injuries. She averaged 7.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists. While her scoring and rebounding numbers were similar to her freshman season, Nissley more than doubled her production in assists, steals and blocks.

Her all-around play and high basketball IQ make her a versatile weapon in the Husker arsenal.

Sophomore (2024-25)
A member of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team by both the coaches and the media in 2024, Nissley was a regular starter in the Nebraska backcourt as a sophomore in 2024-25. The 6-0 guard from Bismarck, N.D., averaged 7.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals over 32 games with 26 starts.

Nissley closed the season with nine points on a trio of three-pointers to go with three assists and two steals against Louisville in the NCAA Tournament (March 21).

She averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals in the Big Ten Tournament, scoring eight points and tying a career high with seven rebounds in a win over Illinois (March 6).

She produced her eighth double-figure scoring effort with a season-high 16 points on a career-high five threes in a win over Oregon (Feb. 19). She also tied a career high with seven boards against the Ducks, while adding a season-high five assists to go with two steals.

Nissley had 11 points, five rebounds and a season-high-tying five assists in NU's upset at No. 17 Maryland (Feb. 13). It followed an 11-point, five-assist showing against Iowa (Feb. 10). She also had 13 points and five assists in a win at Iowa (Jan. 16). She scored 10 points in the final 11 minutes to help NU rally from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit. Nissley had 14 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting at No. 4 USC (Jan. 1). She had 11 points on three threes at No. 17 Georgia Tech (Dec. 21).

She scored in double figures off the bench in each of Nebraska’s first two games of 2024-25, including 14 points to go with four assists in a win over Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 9). She also hit four threes against the Lady Lions.

She opened with 12 points and three assists in just 11 minutes in a win over Omaha (Nov. 4). She went a career-best 5-for-5 at the free throw line against the Mavs.

Nissley made her first start of the year in the record-setting win over South Dakota (Nov. 16), knocking down a trio of threes to finish with nine points. She added nine points and three boards in a win over Lindenwood (Dec. 3).

Freshman (2023-24)
Nissley increased her production throughout the season and joined Nebraska’s starting lineup down the stretch as a freshman. She played in all 35 games for the Huskers, including 10 starts to end the season.

She averaged 7.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists while sinking the second-most three-pointers by a freshman (59) in Nebraska history. The only Husker to hit more threes as a freshman than Nissley was first-team All-American and 2014 Big Ten Player of the Year Jordan Hooper with 67 in 2010-11.

Nissley played a major role in Nebraska's first-round NCAA Tournament win over Texas A&M by matching Alexis Markowski with a team-high 16 points. Nissley buried 4-of-6 threes against the Aggies, while adding three rebounds and two steals in the 61-59 victory. Her two free throws with 17 seconds left gave the Huskers a 60-59 lead.

Her four threes against Texas A&M tied her season high for the fifth time, including a 4-for-10 effort from long range in the Big Ten Championship Game against No. 3 Iowa, when she finished with 13 points and five assists in a season-high 34 minutes. She also went 4-for-6 from long range on her way to 12 points and a career-high six assists in a win over Northwestern (Feb. 20), after going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc in a win over Southern (Dec. 17). Nissley established her season best by hitting 4-of-6 threes on her way to a career-high 18 points in a win over UNCW (Dec. 5).

The three-time North Dakota Gatorade High School Player of the Year matched her career scoring high with 18 points in a road win at Purdue (Feb. 17) in her first career start. Nissley helped Nebraska rally from a 10-point first-quarter deficit by scoring 11 first-half points and NU’s first six points of the second half.

Nissley averaged 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists while hitting 42.9 percent (21-49) of her three-pointers in 10 games as a starter.

She also erupted for one of her best efforts of the season with 15 points and a career-high seven rebounds in 24 minutes in Nebraska’s 82-79 upset of No. 2 Iowa (Feb. 11), just two games prior to making her starting debut.

Nissley produced 12 double-figure scoring efforts on the season, including 11 points - all in the third quarter - of Nebraska’s 73-61 Big Ten quarterfinal win over Michigan State (March 8). She notched six double-figure efforts in the final 12 games beginning with her 12-point performance in the win over No. 2 Iowa (Feb. 11).

Nissley notched her first double-figure effort with 10 points in a win over Alcorn State (Nov. 14). She added 11 points in 12 minutes against TCU (Nov. 25), before pumping in 11 points in 13 minutes in a win over Georgia Tech (Dec. 2). Nissley hit three threes against the Yellow Jackets, including back-to-back fourth-quarter threes to turn a two-point NU deficit into a four-point lead the Huskers never relinquished. She added 13 points on 3-of-6 three-point shooting against No. 14 Indiana (Jan. 7).

High School
A three-time North Dakota basketball state player of the year, Nissley averaged 20.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.9 steals as a senior in 2022-23. She helped the Patriots to a state runner-up finish for the second straight year, while closing her career with 1,664 points.

Nissley was ranked as the No. 91 player in the Class of 2023 by ESPN after averaging more than 21 points and three steals while hitting 47 percent of her three-pointers as a junior in 2021-22. She led Bismarck Century to a 50-game winning streak over two seasons before claiming a state runner-up finish in 2022. In the 2022 Class A state championship game, Nissley put up 32 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

As a sophomore in 2020-21, Nissley powered Bismarck Century to a state title to win Gatorade and MaxPreps North Dakota Player of the Year honors after producing school records with 556 points (21.4 ppg), 100 assists and 93 steals while hitting 46.4 percent of her three-point attempts.

A four-time volleyball letterwinner, Nissley captured back-to-back North Dakota Volleyball Player of the Year awards in 2021 and 2022. She finished her career with more than 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. As a senior, she recorded 361 digs, 357 kills, 34 blocks and 19 service aces while leading the Patriots to their second straight volleyball state championship.

Nissley played her club basketball for North Tartan - the same program as former Huskers Sam Haiby and Annika Stewart.

Personal

The daughter of Brad and Ashley Nissley, Logan was born in Bismarck, N.D. She has a younger brother, Garrett. A child, youth and family studies major, Logan was an Academic All-District VII selection by the College Sports Communicators in 2025. She was also a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All-Big Ten choice following her sophomore season.

A three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection, Nissley was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2024 and 2025.

She selected Nebraska over Gonzaga, Minnesota, Utah and Iowa.

"I chose Nebraska because of the family culture the girls brought to me when I visited," Nissley said. "The program itself and the facilities are amazing, but it felt like my second home and I knew it was meant for me. The coaches were unmatched and were by far my favorite because they cared about me as a person not just an athlete."
