Ben Huver enters his fourth season as the women's basketball athletic trainer at Nebraska in 2024-25.
Huver joined the Nebraska staff in August of 2021, after spending two seasons at Montana State in Bozeman.
Originally from Riverton, Wyo., Huver spent two seasons as an assistant director of sports medicine at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., from 2017 to 2019. He was the primary football and women's basketball athletic trainer at Southern.
Huver added two years of experience as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Colorado Christian from 2015 to 2017. He worked primarily with the baseball and volleyball teams at Colorado Christian, but also assisted with the men's and women's basketball programs, the men's and women's track and field programs and the men's and women's tennis teams.
Huver earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Colorado Mesa in 2015. He added a master's degree in organizational leadership from Colorado Christian in 2017.
Huver is CPR/AED certified, a Licensed Athletic Trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Ben and his wife, Rachel, welcomed their first child, a son Ezra, in June of 2021.
