2024 (Sophomore)
Lauren Homecillo did not compete in 2024, but added depth to the Huskers’ lineup and helped the team reach the second round of the NCAA Championships.
2023 (Freshman)
Lauren Homecillo added depth to the Nebraska team that finished the season at the NCAA Denver Regional.
Before Nebraska
Homecillo was a level 10 gymnast training at Omaha Gymnastics Academy under coaches Todd Crouse and Kelley Banks Green. Homecillo claimed the state title on vault, beam and floor in 2021. She also finished fourth at the 2021 regional meet.
Personal
The daughter of Peter and Theresa Homecillo, Lauren was born on Nov.11, 2003. She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school. Lauren has not declared a major but she did earn a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2022.
Lauren chose Nebraska because “they treat their athletes amazing, I love the team, and it is close to home.”
