2025 (Junior)
Lauren Homecillo had an impressive junior campaign, going 10-for-13 on floor and competing three times on beam. The Papillion native earned a career-high 9.950 on floor against Maryland on Jan. 26 and subsequently earned Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors. Homecillo also scored a career-high 9.750 on beam against New Hampshire on March 8.
2024 (Sophomore)
Lauren Homecillo did not compete in 2024, but added depth to the Huskers’ lineup and helped the team reach the second round of the NCAA Championships.
2023 (Freshman)
Homecillo added depth to the Nebraska team that finished the season at the NCAA Denver Regional.
Before Nebraska
Homecillo was a level 10 gymnast training at Omaha Gymnastics Academy under coaches Todd Crouse and Kelley Banks Green. Homecillo claimed the state title on vault, beam and floor in 2021. She also finished fourth at the 2021 regional meet. She was also a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
Personal
The daughter of Peter and Theresa Homecillo, Lauren was born on Nov.11, 2003. Lauren is a management major at Nebraska.
Lauren chose Nebraska because “they treat their athletes amazing, I love the team, and it is close to home.”
