2025 (Sophomore)
Whitney Jencks made a significant impact on the Huskers’ lineup in her sophomore season. She competed in every meet for the Big Red, including 12 times in the all around. She posted new career highs in four events – 9.800 on vault, 9.900 on bars, 9.900 on floor and 39.350 in the all-around. Jencks earned six event titles on the season, including two in the all-around.
2024 (Freshman)
Whitney Jencks had an impressive freshman campaign, competing in every meet for the Big Red on bars, going 12-of-13 on floor and making her beam debut at the second round of the NCAA Championships. The Madison, S.D., native had a 100% hit rate across all of her routines and earned career highs of 9.900 on bars, 9.850 on beam and 9.875 on floor.
Before Nebraska
Jencks joins the Huskers after training at Twin City Twisters. Jencks competed at the 2022 national qualifiers, finishing fourth on floor, seventh in the all-around and ninth on bars. At the 2022 regional qualifier, Jencks claimed first on floor and in the all-around. She graduated from Madison High School.
Personal
Whitney is the daughter of David and Rachael Jencks and has five siblings, Marissa, Ainsley, Audrey, Ryan and Tyler. She was born on July 22, 2005. Jencks is a nutrition and health sciences major at Nebraska.
