Alexis Rienks

Alexis Rienks is in her first season as a registered dietitian fellow at Nebraska in 2024. 

Rienks returned to Nebraska after working as a dietetic intern at Children’s Hospital Colorado and the Swedish Medical Center. Prior to her internships, Rienks was a student worker with the Huskers, modifying batch formulas and developing workable formulations through processing techniques. 

Rienks was a soccer player at both New Mexico State and Nebraska, playing in 33 games with four starts as a Husker. She earned a bachelor's degree in food science and technology from Nebraska in 2018 and a second bachelor's degree in human nutrition from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2022. Rienks also earned a master’s degree in food science and technology from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2020.
