Bailey Worthy joined the Nebraska Athletic Department in May of 2024 as Associate Athletic Director for Business Administration. Bailey previously worked in Athletics at the University of Washington and Texas A&M University in business office related roles.
Bailey’s primary responsibilities for the Huskers include oversight of the daily operations of the business office and human resources, financial analysis projects, Board of Regents reporting, contract review, and leading large-scale procurement processes for Athletic department purchases.
While at the University of Washington, Bailey’s duties as Assistant AD for Business Operations included assisting with $150 million yearly budgeting process, developing cumulative projections across all sports and units, and navigating the financial impacts of coaching turnovers by supporting procurement requests and managing costs.
Prior to her time in Seattle, Bailey worked at Texas A&M for six years in several positions ranging from a student worker up to Manager of Business Operations. Most recently, as Manager, Bailey was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business office as well as budget review for an operating budget of $170 million. She also oversaw all Athletic department contracts, procurement functions, audits and NCAA reporting, and monthly financial modeling.
A native of Magnolia, Texas, Bailey graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Science in Sport Management; in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Bailey and her husband, Jayson, enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, country western dancing, volunteering at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and attending as many Husker sporting events as their schedules allow!
