Brett Beecham

Brett Beecham was hired as an Assistant Communications Director in August 2026. Before his current role, Beecham spent three years as an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at James Madison University and also spent a year as a student in the Nebraska communications office.

In his current role, Beecham is the primary communications contact for Nebraska Soccer and Track & Field / Cross Country and the secondary contact for volleyball. 

At JMU, he served as the primary media relations contact for its men’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s golf programs. He also worked with softball during the 2024 season and assisted with football during its run to the 2025 College Football Playoff.

Prior to joining James Madison, Beecham worked as a student assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2022-23, where he served as the primary contact for men’s golf and assisted with men's basketball, women's soccer, softball, and the football program.

A native of Papillion, Neb., Beecham earned his bachelor’s degree in sports media and communications from the University of Nebraska in 2023.
