Clayton Caniford joined Nebraska in the summer of 2024 and is in his first season as the Huskers' director of business operations. In his role, Caniford assists with the financial and logistical operations associated with the Nebraska football program.
Caniford came to Nebraska from Texas A&M. He joined the Aggies as a business coordinator in 2022 and served nearly two years in that role before spending his final year at Texas A&M as an assistant manager of internal operations.
Caniford earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Hardin-Simmons University in 2020. He earned his master's degree in sports business from Hardin-Simmons in 2022.
At Hardin-Simmons, Caniford was a wide receiver for the football team. He was an academic all-conference selection in four of his five seasons, and Caniford was also named to the 2020 American Southwest Conference Outstanding Sportsmen Team.
