Colin Bailey joined Nebraska Athletics in September 2024 as Assistant Director for Capital Planning, Construction & Facilities. Bailey previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities at the University of South Florida.
At USF, Bailey oversaw the daily operations across the athletic facilities district, including equipment and personnel. He was instrumental in bolstering departmental staffing, policies and procedures, while also overseeing numerous capital improvement projects during his time in Tampa.
Prior to USF, Bailey served as the Executive Director for Ed Robson Arena at Colorado College. The $65 million arena opened in the of Fall 2021 and brought the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Tiger Hockey program back on campus for the first time since the program began in 1938.
In his role, he provided leadership and direction by implementing goals and strategies for the arena, including working with campus and City of Colorado Springs leadership to attract unique events to the area, while also overseeing all budgeting, contracts staffing and long-term capital improvement projects.
Prior to joining Colorado College, Bailey served in similar athletic administrative roles that prioritized capital projects, renovation initiatives and general facility maintenance at St. Lawrence University (NY), Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (PA), Northern Arizona University, North Dakota State University, University of Arkansas, and the University of Florida.
The Corry, Pennsylvania native, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Management from West Virginia University.
