Daevon Vigilant is in his first season as a player development assistant for Nebraska football in 2024.
Vigilant joined the Huskers after serving as the director of Broncos Empowered and the Varsity W Club at Western Michigan. Previously, he was a student development graduate assistant at West Virginia and a recruiting graduate assistant at New Mexico.
A native of Compton, Calif., Vigilant was a running back at New Mexico from 2016 to 2019. He played in 21 career games, rushing for 191 yards and scoring three touchdowns.
Vigilant earned his bachelor’s degree at New Mexico in 2020 and his master’s degree in sport and fitness administration in 2023 from West Virginia.
