Dan Floyd

Dan Floyd joined the Nebraska Athletic Department as the director of information technology in August of 2009. Before joining the athletic department, Floyd worked for the University of Nebraska system in several capacities, including the director of shared computing services at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

A native of Lumberton, N.C., Floyd was a soccer student-athlete at Saint Andrews Presbyterian College from 1983 to 1985, before transferring to Western Carolina to complete his bachelor's degree in history. After earning his degree, Floyd spent one year as a history teacher and assistant athletic director at Flora MacDonald Academy in Red Springs, N.C. Floyd coached varsity women's basketball, softball and men's varsity soccer.

Floyd moved to Nebraska in 1992 and earned his master's degree in management from Bellevue University.

Floyd has five children, Morgan, Rian, Devan, Haydn and Cooper.
