Dana Dunbar joined Nebraska Athletics as a Finance Coordinator in November of 2024.
Prior to the Huskers, Dunbar served as the Coordinator of Compliance and Student-Athlete Services from June 2023-November 2024 at McNeese State, focusing on working closely with the NCAA on behalf of McNeese State student-athletes. She spent two seasons prior to her administrative role as the Director of Softball Operations for the Southland Conference Champion McNeese Cowgirls (2022-23).
A native of Chadron, Nebraska, Dunbar graduated magna cum laude with bachelor's degree in business management from Northwest Missouri State University in December 2021 and a master's degree in business administration from McNeese in December 2023.
Dunbar played softball for Des Moines Area Community College from 2018-2019 where she served as captain of the third place NJCAA College World Series team. While playing for the Bears, Dunbar's accolades included being named to the ICCAC Second Team All-Region, ICCAC First Team All-Regional Academic, and Second Team NJCAA All-Academic.
