Gabriel Watson is in his first season as a developmental performance quality control coach with Nebraska football in 2024. Watson works alongside the strength and conditioning staff on program design and improving athletic qualities of players to drive performance.
Prior to Nebraska, Watson worked as a strength coach at Forged Strength in Sioux Falls, S.D. (2022-24). Watson aided in the implementation of programs designed for a diverse clientele. This included plyometric and speed training for high school and college athletes as well as strength training for general population clients.
Watson earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Sioux Falls in 2019 and played two seasons as a running back with the University of Texas as a graduate transfer (2020, 2021).
