After serving as Nebraska's assistant director of compliance for student-athlete services since 2010, Jena Johnson was promoted to associate director of compliance in 2017.
Johnson joined the athletic compliance staff in 2005, first as a compliance assistant, then as an associate before being named an assistant director.
Johnson previously worked as a student-assistant in the compliance office from 2001 to 2005.
Johnson helps ensure that all 24 of Nebraska’s varsity sports adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and the Big Ten Conference. Johnson focuses her attention on athletic scholarships, the NCAA Student Assistance Fund and student athlete education.
A native of Exeter, Neb., Johnson graduated from Nebraska in 2005 with a degree in marketing. Johnson and her husband, Jose, were married in 2004, and the couple has three children, Isabel, and twin daughters, Elena and Alexis.
