Keith Mann has been a part of the Nebraska Athletics staff for more than three decades. He was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications in October of 2024. He had previously served as Associate AD for Communications since 2019 after being named Assistant AD for Communications in July of 2009. He has served as Nebraska's communications director since August of 2004.
He oversees all administrative operations of the communications office, while serving as the day-to-day contact for the nationally recognized Nebraska football team, handling all publicity and communications for the Huskers. Under his leadership, Nebraska has received 12 FWAA Super 11 Awards since the program began in 2009. He oversees all of Nebraska's department-wide communication efforts. He serves as the primary spokesman and communications contact for the Athletic Department and is Athletics' liaison to UNL campus communications.
Mann is just the fourth communications director in Nebraska history, following Chris Anderson, Don Bryant and John Bentley.
Mann spent two years as associate sports information director at Nebraska before assuming his current role. He returned to the Cornhusker state from the University of Tennessee, where he spent one season as an assistant sports information director for the Volunteers, working with the football team. After returning to Lincoln, Mann spent one year working with the Nebraska Golf Association before rejoining the NU athletic department.
Mann, who was also associate sports information director at NU from 1998 to 2000, worked four years as a student assistant and one year as an intern before spending three years as an assistant sports information director at Nebraska. Mann served as Nebraska's men's basketball contact from 1996 to 2000.
Mann earned a bachelor's degree in news-editorial from Nebraska in 1994. His wife, Leslie is a graduate of Nebraska and is a high school educator. The couple has two daughters, Lauren and Madison.
