Kiara Mayo is in her second season at Nebraska in 2024, where she is in charge of head coach support and staff operations. In 2023, Mayo served as Nebraska’s assistant director of football operations.
Mayo came to Lincoln after serving as the football director of operations at Lamar in 2022. Prior to Lamar, Mayo gained Power Five experience as a program assistant at Vanderbilt, spending one year in that role. She previously was a student equipment manager with the Commodores.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Mayo also worked in the National Football League. She gained experience within the Virtual Diversity Development Series for Football Operations on behalf of the Philadelphia Eagles and served as an intern for the Amy Adams Strunk Women in Football Training Camp on behalf of the Tennessee Titans. Outside of football, Mayo was an operations intern for Real Love Tennis as an undergraduate student and served in an administrative role for DI Sports Training.
Mayo earned her bachelor’s degree from Martin Methodist College in Tennessee in 2020 and her master’s degree in sports administration in 2022.
