Kirt Smith

Kirt Smith joined Nebraska Athletics in Apirl of 2026 as a guest relations and security attendant. He serves as one of the first in-person contacts for daily visitors of the athletic department, while also providing a safe environment for Nebraska's student-athletes and staff members.

Prior to the Huskers, Smith worked in emergency services for 34 years in Hamilton County and the City of Aurora, Neb. 

Kirt and his wife, Teresa, have two daughters, Katie and Lizzy.
