Kristin Hodge is affiliated with the Nebraska Athletic Medicine program, serving as an Instructor in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training program. Kristin started her position in July 2024. Along with her athletic training education responsibilities, Kristin also serves as an instructor for undergraduate courses in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science.
Founded in 2018, Kristin is also the owner of Hinco LLC (a portmanteau of Hodge Injury Consulting), an injury prevention and management company servicing industrial clients all across the United States. She uses her experience and education to help her clients reduce work comp injuries through ergonomic improvements, developing stretching programs, and new-hire physical demand testing, among other things. With her local clients she also treats and rehabs work comp injuries in on-site clinics set up at the client’s facility.
Kristin’s clinical experience in the athletic setting includes being an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS and Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN. She was also a clinical preceptor for the education programs at both universities. In July 2013 she was granted the opportunity to be the athletic trainer for Team USA Volleyball at the World University Games held in Kazan, Russia.
Prior to starting at UNL, she was an adjunct instructor for Anatomy and Physiology in the Nebraska Wesleyan biology department. She started her industrial athletic training experience in Evansville, IN while working at Orthopaedic Associates and doing outreach to local factories. Native of Holdrege, NE, Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, and her master’s degree in exercise science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Kristin resides in Lincoln with her fiancé, Chris, and their dog, Storm. She enjoys golfing, swimming, and going to the lake.
